Accounting Clerk

The Accounting Clerk with Cando performs various accounting functions, works with a diverse computerized accounting system, and provides support to the Controller. Working in a detail oriented environment, the incumbent is a self-starter with strong planning, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

 

The Accounting Clerk manages the accounts payable and receivables from processing to payment and collection. The incumbent is responsible for preparing government remittances, ensuring that financial records are accurate, and participates in the monthly and annual compilation of the books of accounts.

 

 

The successful candidate will have a Business Administration Diploma with a specialization in accounting and one to two years’ experience in a related position. The Clerk must be skilled in the use of computer equipment, Word, Excel, Outlook, and accounting software. Experience with GP Dynamics considered an asset.

 

This is a full-time position required to work 37.5 hours per week Monday through Friday. Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
