Free SAFE Work Manitoba Workshops in Brandon

 

SAFE Work Manitoba offers free prevention workshops in Brandon

 

 

 

 

Next up is Hazard Identification and Risk Control on Feb. 8.

 

In this interactive workshop, participants will learn four methods of identifying hazards, along with how to assess risk and implement methods to control risk. Emphasis is placed on workplace inspections and SAFE Work procedures. This workshop will be particularly useful to supervisors, safety and health committee members, managers and employers, but will benefit workers as well.

 

Other upcoming Brandon workshops include: SAFE Committee Basics (Feb. 14); Preventing Musculoskeletal Injuries (Feb. 16) and Supervisors and SAFE Work (March 9).

The Brandon Embroiderers meet every 2nd and 4th week of the month on Wednesdays. The group meets from 1:30pm to 3:30pm to stitch, do workshops, to share project they are doing. Anyone one is welcome to come. There are experience embroiderers if you need a hand or just want to be inspired and share your projects.

Nearly New Shop Spring &; Summer Grand Re-Opening Friday Feb 24th

Our Spring & Summer Grand reopening is Friday February the 24th.  

 

We will be closed Feb 20th to 23rd to restock our shelves with generously donated Spring & Summer items. The store will be brimming with brand name nearly new clothing for the whole family. We will have a good selection of lovely brand new plus size women's clothing. Plus lots of great household items & art.  All at Nearly New prices!  

 

Our staff is working hard to get the stock out for the big day. We will be posting pictures & updates on Facebook at Nearly New Shop Brandon Mb & Twitter @shopnearlynew 

 

 Be sure to mark this Friday as a "Feel Good Shopping Day" for sure!  

 

Please remember that we accept cash only to reduce overhead & maximize the money going to the hospital. Or shop is run with 90 volunteers & one full time manager with all proceeds going to buy equipment for patient care at the Brandon Hospital.
