Westman Gardeners Horticultural Day - Miniature Gardening

Hi!

We, at the Westman Gardeners, have a really special horticultural day coming up on April 22, 2017. Pre-registration of $20 for the day includes all speakers and the noon lunch. There will be door prizes and silent auction packages to purchase tickets for as well as many plants available for purchase.

Mandy Botincan, owner of Mandy's Greenhouses in Tyndale, Manitoba and an avid alpine gardener is coming to speak to us about alpine plants as well as stepables. Mandy will be bringing alpine plants with her for sale.

Keeping with the same theme of miniature plants, Brenda Newton, co-founder of the Westman Gardeners and avid perennial gardener and hybridizer, is speaking about miniature perennials you can plant in your landscaping. Brenda also will be bringing plants (hostas, lilies and other perennials she has divided from her yard) for sale that day.

Terry Carter-Squire, a member of the Westman Gardeners, has planted her whole yard up with the fairy theme and will be talking and showing us her fairy gardens and giving us lots of tips to do so ourselves in our yard as well as planters.

Come join us for the day!  Pre-registration (deadline is April 19, 2017) is needed as we want to have lots of food there for lunch for everyone. Why not bring a friend, neighbor or family member and join us for the day?

Brochures of the hort day are available at The Green Spot, Alternative Landscaping and at Lindenberg’s in Brandon.

Hope to see you then!
