Based in Brandon, Manitoba, we synthesize and blend nitrogen, phosphate, and sulfur products with ammonia, which we market primarily in the prairie provinces of Canada and the northern United States. Operating 24 hours a day, 365 days per year, we employ approximately 270 dedicated team members. Our fundamental commitment to safety, health, and environmental stewardship drives all our processes.


We are seeking a Plant IT Analyst to join our IT Group at our fertilizer plant in Brandon, MB.  We are looking for a candidate with strong analyst, project management and infrastructure experience to support our plant IT needs.  The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for identifying, prioritizing, & managing IT initiatives to sustain and improve overall infrastructure efficiency, security & reliability.  This role will be key in executing KAES's vision of digital transformation at the Brandon plant as a building block for advanced analytics and automation.


You will:

•Act as a local IT relationship manager to understand and lead the plant technology needs, effectively communicate status on value-added initiatives to plant leadership, and promote new and existing resources & technology

•Prioritize, manage and execute IT infrastructure foundational initiatives and remediate IT disruptions to the plant 

•Experiment with new technologies, drive and promote change in how the Operations team leverages technology and become a key player in advancing Koch's digital transformation strategies for the Brandon plant

•Establish and maintain strategic vendor relationships to better facilitate day to day IT operations projects & support

•Collaborate with and assist the IT/Ops Reliability, and Applications Team efforts across Koch Ag & Energy Solutions, LLC


The qualifications you have include:

•At least three (3) years of IT infrastructure project management experience

•At least three (3) years of experience managing IT vendor relationships & project work

•Technical Diploma in IT or a related field OR at least five (5) years of related IT experience; Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field is considered an asset

•Ability to prioritize, organize, and coordinate simultaneous tasks and projects

•Strong conceptual, analytical and problem-solving abilities

•Strong interpersonal and communication skills

•Ability to solicit and capture effective requirements and to provide documentation 

•Proven organization and time management skills; detail-oriented; high level of integrity, honesty and professionalism; able to work independently  


Preferred Qualifications:

•Infrastructure related certifications (ie Cisco CCNP or CCNA)

•Experience in technical systems analysis across one or more disciplines (Networking, Wireless, Infrastructure, IT Security) 

•Process Control systems knowledge & experience

•Business Analysis experience

•Experience supervising/managing IT teams

•Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment 

•Availability for flexible hours based on job requirements 

•Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals

•Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather

•Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and work at heights

•Occasional exposure to fumes/airborne particles

•Unassisted physical mobility in and around plant and equipment

•Ability to sit, stand, kneel as necessary

•Up to 10% travel, including air

•Ability to lift and carry up to fifty (50) pounds
