RFNOW fibre optic user feedback

Interested in hearing from eBrandoners with their feedback regarding RFNOW fibre optic internet. I am currently looking at this option for higher speed and no cap on limit. This is not their wireless service.

Yikes

I have heard nothing positive so far. Pay a nice fee to get fiber and it hardly works seems to be the story. Lots of people absorbing the loss and moving back to other carriers.

RFNOW

We've been using this service for a year now and have only positive things to say. Service is great, price is right and customer service is top notch

Also interested

I'm in Alexander and am also interested in their fibre optic. I know the installation is expensive so I just want to make sure it is very reliable before I consider making the investment.love to hear feedback on the fibre optic.thanks.

interested but costs too much

I would be interested if they offered more than just internet for the price they are charging. In other areas across Canada you get internet, home phone and basic hd tv for about the same price as what they want for just internet.

You can't even compare this to other providers. Even with it being slow fiber(100/100) it still destroys most other internet connections and is dirt cheap compared to fiber from other providers in other areas.

Definitely fast on paper!.. and actually a fair price. My only concern is if it's reliable? Don't want to invest into the installation and regret it.

I can't speak for others but one of the locations I manage has it and I've never had any issues with reliability. Only time its ever dropped was due to power outages.

Very Reliable

It's rock solid and we're getting faster speeds than we're paying for.

The only issue we've had is once we lost access to Google for 10 minutes. It's always news to me whenever someone says anything about a MTS or Westman outage.

Do you have any sources for those claims, or just hearsay?

Right from the lips of people who had/have the service.

RFnow

We've been on it for nearly a year. Only had issues twice and they were short lived. Consistently get speeds of 300+mbps. Best we've seen is 840mbps. Would never go back to any of the services we've tried before.

speeds

I would consider it if they offered a 50/50 option for a lesser cost obviously. 100/100 is a little excessive for what I do.

Hmm. Seems you are the only one that "heard" that. Don't believe everything ya hear (especially from the competition ) RFNow is a lot better then what the "others" offer. Speeds are great!!

Alrighty then

RENOWNED contact info

Does anyone have RENOW contact info? I tried to Google them but nothing came up. Currently with MTS and tired of their inconsistency.
Thank you.

Might be time to try to talk a few neighbors in Alexander to get them on my street.
Sounds like it would be a good investment.

RF Now

We had the option to upgrade our internet from their service to the fiber this past summer. We considered it but it was a $600 installation charge and our internet bill was going to double per month for us to have it. For just the two of us just couldn't justify the cost. The neighbors that have it really like it. On a side note the installation wasn't the cleanest (unless they are coming back to clean up this summer).
