Next Outing to the Criddle/Vane Homestead

Is tentatively planned for the second Saturday in May.
We wanted to wait for the freaking snow to go away and for it to dry up a bit so that we can FINALLY walk around the property and check out the labs and stuff!
This is tentative b/c of the darned Manitoba weather and you never know when it's supposed to snow.

Any other questions please feel free to contact Robert Brown (founder of BPRS) or myself.....

Again, if you're planning to come (if the weather cooperates with us) on the second Saturday in May. We meet up at Timmies in the South End (by the Shoppers Mall) at 630 pm and car pool out to the site. And then when we're done, we all meet back up at that Timmies and get everyone to record their experiences.

Hope this answers some of your questions...

I should

also reiterate that this outing is open to all interested people.

Just remember to dress according to the weather and BRING FLASHLIGHTS, and your cameras or recorders or video cameras or whatever.....

Sounds good

I will book a sitter so I can come along this time. I have a voice recorder, video recorder & camera - which should I bring...I might be able to juggle all three.. I'm looking forward to it as I've had to miss out on the other outings.

By the way I saw some very interesting pictures taken at the fire hall..

I am so

in this time. I had to miss that last few that were out there but have always wanted to go. So you all say the last Saturday in May. So I would assume that you mean May 30th. Please confirm. Meet at timmies? I can do that. All I have is a digital camera but I can bring it.

The outing

is the Saturday after the May Long Weekend! Saturday May 23/09.

We will be meeting at 630 pm at the Tim HOrtons by the mall, and we will head out by 7 pm to the Homestead: and I have no idea as to what time we'd come back.

Hope to see you all there!!

Have any of you

caught anything unusual in a photo or on video out there??? My fiance, myself and two friends went out there about 2 or 3 weeks ago and got orbs on tape. It was quite an experience.... Not very creepy but it was between 6-9 and it wasnt dark out yet. It was a really cool experience!

photos.

there are some photos that are quite strange. mostly EVPS with weird voices and sounds.
the only video i have, is of the door closing shut.....coulda been the wind, but who knows. it was still creepy..the last time i was using the vid camera, i forgot to turn on night shot...so no such luck that time.

I would

Love to join the group and go the next time you go to the Criddle/Vane homestead. I have read the book and have been there half a dozen times. I love it there and think that there is definately some activity going on.

Ruby

Thank you for the heads up, maybe that's something that we can look into!

And yes, the next outing is Saturday May 23/09. We will meet at Tim Hortons South (by the mall) at 630 pm and head out from there....we normally don't leave until about 7 pm....and remember, check the weather network before coming, so you can dress accordingly. Also, if you have flashlights, bring those as well, as well as any recording equipment you'd like.

Ontop of all of that, these outings are open to everyone!

PS...I apologize for the mixup with the dates, I didn't have my calender infront of me!

information

please can you tell me what you go there to look for? We are interested in coming along. What time do you usually get back? Does it cost anything?

sure

we go there to see if we can make :contact", for lack of a better phrase/word.

One of the reasons that we carpool is so that if someone needs to leave by a certain time, we can have someone drive them back into the city. Sometimes we're back by 11 pm and sometimes later.

And the only thing it costs is if you want to buy yourself a cup of coffee! We don't charge to go out there.....

we did a little investigation tonight (3 of us), and im a little dissappointed that somebody has thrown cinder blocks through the windows there. as well as kicked in some of the walls inside.

we did capture some pretty horrifying evps though. (i dont know if i will sleep tonight)

Re; Criddle/Vane Homestead

Is there a book about this? If so, what is it called and who is the author? I'm interested in reading local history.

well one we are asking for a name, and we get a "DO NOT COME AGAIN"

and the other, we all get startled by a strange noise in the hallway, and right then it recorded a man screaming.

evp's

i'm curious as to what these evp's sound like. does it sound like an actual person when you hear them? can you hear these voices at the time or only during playback of the recorder? also, is it whispered or is it some sort of abstract sound where other people could interpret differently? just curious, i'd really like to hear this for myself!
