Injured baby sparrow

Hi. Does anyone know where an injured bird can get help. Conservation MB is not interested in assisting. The leg of the bird is either broken or perhaps it was born this way. It can’t walk but can fly a bit but can’t get on a branch etc.

Brandon Hills Veterinary Hospital

733 - 17th Street
You can take the baby bird there and if it can be saved they’ll get it to Wildlife Haven Rehab Hospital. If they can’t save the baby they will at least deal with it humanely. Then it won’t be left suffering and scared. Thanks for caring.

Thank you for caring

It’s just a baby sparrow, but I admire your compassion in not wanting this bird to suffer.

baby birdie

I like people who care about creatures that most people couldn't give a rat's ass about. That's nice of you Tara.

It’s not that I don’t care. I grew up on a farm. Sometimes life is hard you learn hard lessons fast. Hate to tell you that Bambi dies saw it on a movie.

We are not all farm people & the size of the injured animal doesn’t decide wether we care or not. Good for you for caring Tara. Who decided that a sparrow is a “ nuisance bird”?

it wasn’t Bambi who died but his mother.....shot out of season by hunters. If you think about when she was shot , it was springtime.

If bambi's mother was shot out of season by someone restricted to a hunting season that wasn't active then she was poached and shot by a poacher not a hunter, but she also could have been shot by someone who has no restrictions on their season.
Sorry to detour the thread, as to the bird I know the feeling, I've came across baby birds that fell out of nests in my yard and wasn't sure how to proceed, in the end I let nature take its course, hopefully they made it back home
