Oh man...there is just so many....

you know your from Brandon if...
...you ever had your birthday party as a kid at Wheelies or the 5 pin bowling lanes on 10th St.
...you remember the Town Cinema and the Strand being our two theatre options.
...if you remember when the Gallery was downtown and full of good stores like Eatons, and SAAN kids.

Great thread...brings back memories.

Lawson's?

Was there a farm equipment dealership where Wendy's is? Was it called Lawson's & Sons?

Was near Wendy's. The old Lady of the Lake building was part of it too. Frank Lawson & Sons was where the Click Tower building is.

Surprised

no one's brought up Bi-way, OCC's, Thundermountain, Perkins, or the velvet rail. God I wish we still had wheelies, or a pool hall lol.

Anglo Refinery was where Petro Can, Canadian Tire, Sobeys, Tim Hortons, Staples, Murray Chev Olds, etc. are now.

I remember there was an arcade in the Shopper's Mall in the food court area (before it got expanded for Sports Check?). Cannot remember what it was called though.

I also remember Eaton's and all the stores in the Town Center when I was a child. I always get sad and disappointed when I go there now.

I only ever went to Thunder Mountain once, and that was on a school field trip. I went on the Bullet, never again, maybe that's where my fear of heights started, haha.

Voyager.
Mr B's
Red Pepper.
Community centre carnivals.

Kreges.

Also the smell from the old rendering plant. The decades search for a firehall/police station location.
