Yes, now trucks will skip scales, roads around that scale will take a beating. Truckers will avoid the pencil pushers who try find a problem to justify their salaries.

When the scale opens I'm sure you will see more commercial vehicle inspection officers or DOT officers as most refer to them, patrolling the gravel roads in the area. I`ve heard they patrol the back roads around Headingly quite aggressively.

i am a trucker and yes the scales will be avoided to some extent but honestly as the route with the only other 24hr crossing in MB besides south of Winnipeg the 10 sees a lot of truck traffic and i was very surprised when they shut the 10 & 2 scale down. i do find scales a pain sometimes but they are there for a reason so in some ways im ok with this one being back in business

What a clown comment. Pencil pushers lol. They're law enforcement that has a specialty on a certain type of vehicle. The ones I've talked to take pride in their jobs in both protecting the infrastructure from damage by overweights , FYI we all pay to use that infrastructure I'm glad they're protecting it and they like the fact that they are trying to keep the rest of us safe by taking unsafe vehicles off the road. And the truckers that are doing things right should appreciate that the ones that do give them a bad name that the DOT is out there.
