cable or satellite

What are my options in Brandon for some cheap television for the winter. Just looking to catch the jets games and some curling. Maybe a bit of news but mostly sports. WCG looks ok but don’t want $80/month just to get sportsnet.

Bell MTS has a promotion for Basic tv (covers your 5 TSN channels) for $20/month for 3 months (or 6 if you get a telemarketing call). You can add the Sports Fans theme group (for the Sportsnet channels) for an extra $15/mo. My understanding is that most Jets games will be covered by TSN/CBC, but I have not looked into their schedule to see how many are covered by Sportsnet.

hi

I have Westmans's Lite Choice for $24.95 and just add a couple other channels for $2.49. They have a popular sports with 8 channels for $10.95. Or the sports theme pack with 5 channels for $6.65. They have other stuff too you can look at.

Just switched from Westman to bellmts. They offered me home phone internet and TV for 60$ for 6 months. Lol I usually just get tv for the winter so works for me. Just hoping they have better service now for internet. Only time will tell I suppose.

Do you receive HD channels on the Lite Choice package?

Yup HD you can as its the cable box that allows HD and your flat screen tv. I just tried a ctv in HD and yup it showed up. I also use a hdmi cable which fits into the cable box and then my hdmi port in my tv., or you can just use a coaxal cable, up to you. I dont have alot of channels but enough to watch the shows I want to. I like this package and then also you can add the channels that are on free preview into a favorites list and so you have all the channels you are to get through your package there in your favorites list, and the free previews when done you can just delete from your favorites list. I have a couple of channels that have movies, channels with old tv shows (like Bewitched, Everyone Loves Raymond, Fraiser, Reba, Three's Company etc) and cartoons and animated movies, and regular channels with newer tv shows or Big Bang, SEAL, etc and weather news etc.
