MASSIVE snow system coming

was watching the weather channel to see how this first day of spring is looking.....

well it says to expect another 5 cm of snow today and top of what we already got and then Monday/Tuesday up to maybe 20 cm more of snow.

Enough already!

I was trying to hope for a slow spring to avoid flooding but everyone reaches their limit.

I want the double digit positive temperatures. I want to see the grass. I want to get out in the yard.

I don't want any more shoveling or bad roads.

Enough already. with the SNOW!

I agree!

I'm trying to get to Winnipeg, planned for last week already and then snow ruined those plans. Planned for Tuesday and now they're saying 15-20 cm for Tuesday so can't go again! I'm sick of winter! On the bright side though, had a good time building a snowman with a couple friends today!

sooo...

maybe we should be thankful we aren't Libyan, or living in Japan? Complaining about the weather changes nothing but our mood....let's be a little thankful that we are better off than some...the weather will eventually change...

What does Libya or Japan have to do with me being totally sick of the weather? I am glad I am Canadian, but sure am getting tired of the snow! If you wanna talk world events then start a world event discussion :S

While

I'm getting sick of all the snow on the ground and increased risk for flooding that it brings..I'll take the snow over the earthquakes (over 400 with aftershocks) and tsunami that Japan has just had..or the earthquake in New Zealand!

Where would you rather live right now?

Living in parts of Japan, trying to recover from devastating natural events?

Living in Libya, which is in political uproar, total chaos, etc. ?

Or stay where you are, in Canada. Where are politics are a little messed up and questionable at times, but nothing like Libya. And so, we've got some extended winter weather. We're not living in wreckage, in Japan with the threat of Nuclear Meltdown ever so iminent right now.

I choose where I am, where we are. Politics maybe a little sketchy, but the leader of our country isn't having my fellow citizens murdered. And yeah, I'm tired of snow too, and not looking forward to the flood this spring. But it won't be anything remotely close to what the people of Japan are reeling from right now...

agrees...but,

then we will have mosquito's, wood tic's, deer flys, tree pollen, bee's wasps, smelly farm waste etc
Nope will stick with winter anytime to these options.

wow...

Seriously? So just because the world is a mess (same as every other day of the year) Im supposed to just smile and be happy that I live here and we are getting shit weather... the flood that is coming is not only going to push up my grocery bill and every other bill I have.. but its all ok cause I could be somewhere else :S ... whatever. I AM sick of snow. I AM worried about MY neck of the woods and whats to come. Call me selfish but oh well. I will say it again. No more snow!

Snow be gone!

When November comes I start looking for the snow to come so I can ride my snowmobile, but I've had enough of the snow too. There are some things I want to do for the summer months outside. The snow could go anytime now.

MASSIVE snow system coming!

Env Canada: 15-25cm of snow Tuesday, TWN: 35-50cm of snow TUESDAY. Monday Cancellations-Park West S.D. No buses. Schools open.

If you have to travel over the next 48 hours it's best to do so today, as early as possible. Winds will gust from 50 to 70 tommorow in addition to all the new snow. More details as they come in to Starfm.

Bring it on!

Bring on the snow....it keeps everything so "clean" looking.

As for summer - it does not officially start until June so we still have approximately three more months of this "wonderful" weather before we can complain.

.

Oh well at least it isn't cold. Besides there isn't a whole lot of reason to get worried about a storm tomorrow. It isn't like the people tracking these things have a great track record.

Watch

Here's the full text of the watch from Environment Canada.... Just checked the Weather Network site and it also says 15-25:

------

Watches

Brandon - Carberry - Treherne
3:52 AM CDT Monday 21 March 2011
Winter storm watch for
Brandon - Carberry - Treherne issued

15 to 25 cm of snow and blowing snow is expected on Tuesday.

The potential for severe winter weather exists over these regions.

An intense low pressure system is expected to move across North Dakota Tuesday bringing heavy snow and strong easterly winds to Southern Manitoba. The most affected area is expected to be Southwestern Manitoba where 15 to 25 cm of snow are possible. Strong easterly winds and falling snow will cause extensive blowing snow with blizzard like conditions Tuesday. The exact track of this low is still somewhat uncertain.

A winter storm watch is an alert of the potential development of severe winter weather. Persons in or near these areas should be prepared for developing adverse weather conditions and should listen for updated watches and possible warnings.
