Yep, held it while you were in the auction room even for the preview, there were some nice pieces they really built up the security part of it, just felt wrong.

I'm torn

The auction was more than likely less than legitimate.
(I came in viewed the items, googled the auction company/auctioneer and was reading about them when I was approached and asked not to use my smart phone. I was not photographing items (was seated away from the items but they said I had agreed to not use my phone in the auction by entering the room. What auctioneer is afraid of someone having access to the internet? One that is shady! So I left)
But like I say I am torn because folks are free to buy what they want from whom they want. There are probably folks that feel they got a deal...I left because it did not seem to be on the up and up and when asked basic questions staff could not answer. Any high value auction should not be a short notice sale where ads go up only a few days before the sale in local newspapers and a few radio spots. It is buyer beware at the end of the day I guess...

That was part of the creepy. A legit auction wants you to find out what you can before bidding not try to stop you from finding out.

So....

..did anyone buy anything from this auction? If so, what was it and how much did you pay? If you don't want to say price, did you think you got a good deal?
