Anything open Thanksgiving Monday?

Now that Stans has closed down, it is more difficult to get that last minute stuff you need for food/ingredient items. So what places are considered open tomorrow?

Not Usually

Most offices, banks, and gov't services still recognize Thanksgiving Day as a holiday. Usually just restaurants and retail open.

OK

I really don't get this.....every holiday it is the same thing....what is open? Have people become so dependent on having shopping even on holidays?

Other than the need for a medical service what else needs to be open?

Since holidays never change, is it really that hard to plan your menu and make sure you have the ingredients on hand?

Just because you are used to being able to run to the store doesn't mean you should have to....plan ahead....and then every time a holiday approaches you don't find the need to ask every holiday......

Remember please.....this is just my honest opingion.

I am sure it has more to do with a bunch of people who have a day off and are contemplating how to spend it.

Not All Holidays Created Equal

Pita, not "every holiday is the same thing". Some are statutory holidays with different rules and regulations. And not every store is the same.

She actually said every holiday IT is the same thing.....which I agree with. Every holiday these threads pop up. Year to year things don't change THAT much so maybe we could have a section where the stores could post their holiday hours and those who need to know could just check that list.

Also, if you call or look online at the store websites, many already list their hours of operation.

Yes, why don't people just assume that on holidays everything but convenience stores are closed? It's really not that hard to pre-plan for one day, but I guess I grew up in the country where a trip to the store wasn't a two minute drive.

Well,

As much as I consider myself a well organized prepared person,we had unexpected company drop in late last night and stay and so I was one of those dependent consumers who was getting food at a store today. Shame on me! Judge away!
