Dentist for Bruxism/TMJ Issues

I am not looking for just a new night appliance. But rather looking for a dentist who knows how to properly treat teeth grinding and jaw issues. I have seen dentists who sent me off to have a mouthguard made and were not interested in helping me deal with the jaw pain.

My bite is quite misaligned currently and I am dealing with a significant amount of pain both when eating and when my jaw is relaxed.

I saw a dentist prior to moving to Brandon who did really great work. With an excellent appliance and worked with muscle massage and tooth shaping to help my bite. Sadly I can not see him as it is too far away. The services in Brandon are sorely lacking.

Is there anyone in Brandon who specializes in this area? Maybe I just haven't found the right dentist yet.

.

Not a dentist but I've had great success with chiropractor (stitt on 18th). He's the only chiropractor that knows how to adjust the jaw that I could find around here. And acupuncture (Dr. Katy at Brandon acupuncture) I haven't had any tmj issues in over a year now.

would an orthodontist instead of a dentist maybe who you should be looking for, they can help realign teeth and do jaw work, try contacting one of them

Chancellor Dental

Is where I go, I was fitted with a night appliance that stops my teeth from clenching together. Its not a cure, and I still get headaches in the morning from clenching, but it has saved my teeth.

Chancellor

I would also suggest Chancellor Dental. They could refer you to a specialist if it's an ongoing problem for you.
