Hello,
What kind of oil do you use to keep your wooden utensils in a nice condition? Any tips or advice is welcome. |

| | dangers of linseed? | | |
When seasoning my cast iron I use raw flax oil which is also known at linseed oil. There were a lot of warnings to not use the linseed oil from the hardware store for this use because of dangerous additives.
You can get food grade "mineral oil" sold as a laxative in the pharmacy section. Food oils like walnut or flax would work but are more pricey.
Edit: I forgot that melting real beeswax with the oils can provide a nice result if you can find some. Edited by PrairieDog204, 2017-03-17 14:16:13 |
