Following in his fathers footsteps.
15 year old Nolan Ritchie was chosen in the 3rd round by the Brandon Wheat Kings in last week’s Bantam Draft.
The Brandonitesays despite his dad’s role with the team… He didn’t tip his hat at all.
"Actually didn’t talk to him that much about getting to Brandon. I told him I wanted to get drafted there and told him that a couple times."
Nolan is the son of current Director of Scouting Darren Ritchie.
The youngest Ritchie adds, ‘it’s pretty cool. I watched them my whole life and always wanted to play with them."
The Wheat Kings will host spring camp May 26th – 28th.
