The Brandon Jr Marlins will be playing their home opener this afternoon against the Pembina Valley Orioles.
They started the season with a victory on Friday.
Coach Brad Schoonbaert tells Q- Country that they hope they can play consistent ball throughout the year.
"Hopefully we can play some entertaining ball and come out to play every night."
Schoonbaert says that he hopes they can continue winning baseball throughout the summer and when they host the Westerns in August.
"We have an intial goal of being pennant winners, so we just want to go out there and get better throughout the year so we are ready to go in the second week of August."
The Marlins can win the league’s regular season title, but will not be participating in the playoffs, because of travel.
The doubleheader starts at 1PM, with the second game scheduled for 4PM at Andrew Field.
