MJHL teams will get a chance once again to battle for the Anavet Cup.
The trophy was awarded to the winner of a best of seven series between the MJHL and SJHL champions.
The winner of the series went on to play for the RBC Cup.
The last time the series took place was in 2012, when the Humboldt Broncos won the series.
The reason for the hiatus was because of the Western Canada Cup being introduced, which brought teams from the four western provinces together.
That tournament was been scrapped because of low profits for the host team and a lack of interested host sites.
