Virden, MB (CKLQ) – The Virden Oil Capitals have completed an mid-season trade.
The club has acquired Boissevain native Braden Billaney as part of the futures deal that sent Tanner Lewis to Winkler at the deadline.
GM & Head Coach Troy Leslie is excited to have Billaney on board.
"We saw first hand in the playoffs he always finds ways to contribute. He’s a good teammate, sticks up for people, and has a bit of a scoring touch as well," says Leslie.
Billaney had 39 points in 49 games last season.
Leslie adds, "when you bring guys from the area, generally, there’s a sense of pride they bring as well."
