Brandon, MB (CKLQ) – The Assiniboine Community College Cougars have added a pair to the women’s volleyball team.
Brandon’s Jessi Coulter and Brittany Bachmier of St. Francois Xavier have committed to the team for the 2017/2018 season.
Coulter makes her return to the court after graduating from Vincent Massey 2 years ago.
She led the Vikings to the provincial championships before being sidelined with torn ligaments in her ankle.
She says, "The way I went out my last game in high school was heartbreaking. I’m ecstatic about starting up my volleyball career and ready to work hard and prove myself,"
Bachmier attended St. Paul’s Collegiate in Elie and was named the schools female athlete of the year.
Cougars Coach Jeff Maxwell says, "I first saw Brittany play in the 2015 provincials. She was one of the top libero’s and I feel she is going to be a dominate libero in the MCAC."
