Chicago, IL (CKLQ) – From being the #1 WHL Bantam Draft pick to a top NHL Draft Prospect, Wheat Kings forward Stelio Mattheos is ready for the next step in his career.
The Winnipeg native hopes to hear his name called at the NHL Entry Draft this weekend.
"It would mean a lot. It’s something a lot of kids dream of. I’ve been dreaming about it my whole life and it would be an unbelievable feeling."
Mattheos is ranked #38 by NHL Central Scouting, joining three other teammates on the final NHL CS rankings.
The first round of the draft begins Friday night from the United Centre in Chicago.
