Brandon, MB (CKLQ) – The Brandon Wheat Kings have rounded out their hockey staff for the 2017/2018 season.
Aaron Rome and Dave Lewis will serve as skills coaches this season while Scott Hlady has been brought on full time as the club’s Equipment Manager.
Rome, spent last year as the team’s full time Assistant Coach while Lewis has been a mainstay in the coaching world in Brandon since he wrapped up his playing career with the BU Bobcats in 1991.
The father of Wheat Kings forward Ty Lewis, is the head instructor at The Hockey Factory.
Meanwhile, Hlady has spent the last four seasons in a part-time role with the team managing all the equipment needs.
The former Wheat King forward has worked at both the Canada Winter Games and the U-17 World Championships.
The Wheat Kings open the pre-season at Westman Place Friday night at 7:30.
