Dauphin, MB (CKLQ) – Three powerplay goals for the Selkirk Steelers lifted them over the Dauphin Kings 4-1 at the Credit Union Centre.
The Steelers were 3/5 with the man advantage, and Zachary Bennett stopped 39 of 40 shots to give Selkirk the two points.
The only goal scorer for the Kings was Mason Fisher, when he tied the game early in the second period.
Nico Labossiere scored the game winner for the Steelers 7:23 into the second period, and an insurance marker was potted in by Shanan McFadden 27 seconds later.
Justin Anderson had a big game for Dauphin, even though he picked up a loss, stopping 35 of 39 shots in the game.
