Pilot Mound, MB (CKLQ) – The Pilot Mound Pilots got off to a good start in the 2018 Tiger Hills Hockey League Playoffs with a 10-4 victory over the Melita Bisons in the survivor game.
The game served as a play-in game for the playoffs, with the winner facing the MacGregor Wild in the best-of-five quarter-final series.
Jeremy Olinyk scored three goals and added two assists in the game.
Pilot Mound will start the playoffs immediately, with a game scheduled against MacGregor on Wednesday night.
All four series are decided now, with Boissevain, Killarney, Neepawa and Gladstone all getting a bye to the next round.
Along with MacGregor versus Pilot Mound, Souris will take on Wawanesa, Hartney vs. Deloraine and Minnedosa vs. Cartwright.
