Winnipeg, MB (CKLQ) – The Brandon Bobcats men’s team fell apart in the third quarter on their way to falling to the Maniotba Bisons 82-76 in the Canada West play-in game.
The Bobcats led 40-35 after the first half before Manitoba unleashed their prized possession.
Leading scorer Justus Alleyn scored 20 points in the third quarter to shift momentum for the Bisons and give Manitoba a nine point lead heading into the fourth quarter.
The Bobcats could only cut the lead by three points.
Tyvon Cooper led the Bobcats with 21 points while Jonathan Range added 18.
Alleyn finished with 31 points in the game.
With the win, the Bisons will head to UBC to take on the Thunderbirds in the best-of-three quarterfinals on February 15.
