Brandon, MB (CKLQ) – Some of the many school kids at the Healthy Living Centre on Friday might have thought they were seeing two of the same games in the same afternoon – until they witnessed a different result.
Both Brandon Bobcats teams blew early 2-0 set leads to the Mount Royal Cougars to get forced to play a fifth set.
For the women’s team they ended up losing the fifth set 15-6, while the men’s team was pushed to the brink of losing three times, before finally pushing through and winning 19-17.
The Bobcats women’s team drops to 10-11 and is now tied with Mount Royal for 7th place in the Canada West.
The men’s team is now at 15-6 and is solidifying their spot at 4th in the conference.
Both teams play on Saturday against the same Mount Royal teams.
Women’s game starts at 5:00pm, while the men start at 6:45pm.
