Dauphin, MB (CKLQ) – The Dauphin Kings have brought a familiar face back to the Parkland to coach the major junior hockey team.
The Kings announced on Monday that Doug Hedley has been given the role of the team’s Head Coach.
Hedley coached the OCN Blizzard for the past two seasons, where he took them to the playoffs both times and all the way to the MJHL Finals in 2017.
Hedley also coached previously for the Kings and the Parkland Rangers of the Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League.
For the Kings, he coached 358 games behind the bench and finished with a 217-116-17-8 record.
He led the Rangers to a franchise best 24 wins in 2014-15.
