Brandon, MB (CKLQ) – Wheat Kings veteran right-winger Gunnar Wegleitner is on his way to Cranbrook, BC after a trade on Friday morning.
The Brandon hockey team says that Wegleitner has been traded to the Kootenay Ice in exchange for a conditional sixth round pick in the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft.
The 20-year-old Vancouver product scored 10 goals and 19 points in 57 games last season with the Wheaties.
It won’t be his first time going to BC, as he has played for the Victoria Royals before.
He also suited up with the Everett Silvertips.
