Brandon, MB (CKLQ) – The Operation Red Nose Golf Tournament celebrates its tenth year at the Sunny side golf course Saturday, Aug 25, 2018.
The event is held to sign up volunteers and to raise awareness for the service which helps impaired people get home safely during the Christmas season.
This year the tournament offers over $80,000 in potential prizes including 9 hole in one cash holes.
Event organizer Gladden Smith says spots are filling up fast.
"We are currently at 72 golfers but we’re prepared for 100 do we still have some spots for teams of four or you can be placed on a team if you sign up as an individual," Smith said.
Green fees are only $60.00 and include a pizza and salad buffet courtesy of Marino’s Pizza following the round.
Golf cart rentals are extra and can be set up through the Sunny side pro shop at 204-728-2374.
Smith adds this particular tournament adds a special feature to ensure a more relaxed fun experience for golfers.
"Your registration fee includes free rides to and from the course courtesy of our volunteer drivers and shuttles," said Smith.
Shotgun start is at noon Saturday.
