Police say a 31-year-old woman was rushed to hospital in critical condition after a collision between a Ford Explorer and Volkswagon Golf on King Edward Street and Ellice Avenue. According to witnesses, she was pinned in one of the vehicles and had to be extricated.
Investigators say two male drivers, aged 56 and 29, were also sent to hospital in stable condition.
Several roads were closed this afternoon including Southbound King Edward Street from Sargent Avenue, and Ellice Avenue between Century Street and Berry Street.
The area has since been reopened to traffic.
