The 19-year-old man in hospital after a collision late Friday has been downgraded from stable to critical condition, said police Sunday afternoon.

Police have arrested a 41-year-old man in connection to the incident.

Police say two 19-year-old men were hit from behind while walking in the 100 block of Crestwood Crescent in the Windsor Park area. Police responded around 10:45 p.m.

"It appears that these individuals were quite simply pedestrians walking in the area and this vehicle came up behind them," said Const. Jason Michalyshen.

Both victims were sent to hospital. One man was treated and released.

A 41-year-old man has been arrested and detained. He is facing two charges of impaired driving causing bodily harm.
