National Aboriginal Day will be broadcast live across the country from Winnipeg Saturday night, featuring some of the biggest names in aboriginal music.

Ray St. Germain will headline Saturday night's concert, taking the stage after 8 p.m. with Aboriginal School of Dance, Dey & Nite, Winnipeg's Most and Elisapie Isaac.

The festival got underway at 11 a.m. with an Aboriginal Market, dancing, storytelling and cuisine from The Red River College Authentic Food Fare – including bison stew & bannock, breaded pickerel and poutine.
