Police surrounded a home in Osborne Village Saturday afternoon.
Members of the police tactical unit arrived on the scene at Gertrude Avenue and Scott Street shortly before 3 pm.
They were executing a warrant for an arrest. At least one person was taken into custody.
Police would not confirm why the arrest was made. No charges have yet been laid.
