Ok so myself ChrisV and a few others have been talking and are thinking we can make the Social happen for jessie and pita's son who have MS and need help from Westman ...to be able to afford to have the Liberation Surgery. ChrisV has offered that his band will play FREE ! and I have already been msg'd about a few people willing to give prizes for a silent auction...I must say this is amazing ...I am looking for suggestions on where we could have the fundraiser social I have a few people looking into some different places but would love feedback from anyone ...we would need tickets , security ,ect anyone wanting to help out please msg myself or chrisV as we would like to get together soon and see what we can figure out .

We are looking at a tentative date of March 12 as long as all my bandmates are free then. We will keep this up-to-date as we progress.

I have 2 small kids, so would not likely be able to help out at the social, but could help behind the scenes, organizing, phone calls, picking up stuff, whatever. And chinese auction donation. Just let me know.

Awesome. The more people behind this, the better. It would be overwhelming for just one or two people. We are planning an "organizational" meeting on Saturday. Possibly Smitties in the mall or Huggy's either on the hill of 18th and Richmond.

I won't be "in charge" but I will definitely be very involved.

I will be happy to take this project on - with event planning and over 20 years in the hospitality business, it would be FUN! If you want to do it on March 12 we will need to get together very soon to start planning! I am off work all week - how would you guys feel about getting together one evening this week to start planning?

I am scheduling an organizational meetng for tomorrow (Thursday 27th) at 7:30pm at Huggy's on the corner of 18th and Richmond.

I hope those that have offered to help can make it out.

I will make sure the staff know who we are so anyone can ask where we are sitting.

Would be happy to put together a "lot" to put in a silent auction. My wife has relapsing/remitting MS, recent diagnosis (within the last 2 years) year, and it has hit her like a ton of bricks this past 12 months. Wish we could afford to pursue the treatment, but other bills are mounting, and it is not in the cards for quite awhile.

When is your next meeting? Not sure I could make it, as I'm from out of town, but am interested in contributing to the silent auction, and anything else I can do.
