Ice-Cream Pail Pickles

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup vinegar

 

2 cups white sugar

 

1/4 cup salt (pickling or regular)

 

1 tsp celery salt

 

1 tsp mustard seed

 

8 cups thinly sliced unpeeled cucumbers

 

1 cup thinly sliced onion


DIRECTIONS:
Mix first 5 ingredients together in an ice-cream pail (or large bowl). DO NOT COOK!. Add cucumber and onion. Stir a few times and enjoy. These are ready to eat in just a few hours and will keep for up to 2 months in the fridge, but mine are always long gone before then!
