Wish: My wish coming true

This wish has been granted!

I made a wish on *Mittens* original thread that I wish to be a non smoker!! Now although I am aware that I am the only person who can grant my own wish, I wanted to share with my fellow wish makers and granters that I have been SMOKE FREE for 5 days!! I also want to give credit to this amazing thread that has allowed me to stop procastinating and get down to business!! Thank You for this !! Wish me luck that I continue to be the non smoker I have wanted to be for years and NOT eat everything in the fridge and cupboards in the process!! :-)

YAY ME!!

You can do it! Way to go! One day or hour at a time. Hope you have a big jar. Pay it a 1.00 every time you resist the craving. Watch it grow!
Need a little incouragement Paste/tape a dream or wish or plan for this money jar. Maybe this will give you another spirit boost.

Thank You everyone!! And Roger you're right about the 3's, well Day 3 anyhow, I found it extremely harder that day and was extremely 'cranky'.
I like the idea of writing down what I would like to do with my 'non smoking' money- Thanks Sharon

I quit nearly ten years ago after smoking for 33. Pistachios were my friend for a few weeks. That and a lot of will-power.

You can do it!!!

I also quit smoking, around the 3rd week you might get a little testy with others, just keep a smile on your face and dont say what youre really thinking lol, but it doesnt last...just be prepared and prepare those around you :) Im not even going to wish you luck because you dont need it, YOU CAN DO IT :)

Awsome job. I just want to add that it is ok to be human and screw up too. Not that I am telling you to go have a smoke or anything. It's just when I was quiting this summer I had one really bad day and gave in. I started feeling really bad for myself, like I had failed and was never going to be able to do it right. But then I got it together and realized that I, like everyone else am human and it is ok to make mistakes. Just keep at it and you will succeed

I am now on day 10 !! It's getting easier.
I tried the gum last year and hated it...I will continue with the patch for now till I feel I have the strength in me to do without it.
I love how you keep track of the 'hours' JA Scott, sometimes I feel like I need to go minute by minute as well.
Congratulations to all that have succeeded !! I am walking beside you all!! :-)
