Wish for: E-Wish Granters

I wish for a great turn out to the first fundraising event for the E-Wish Granters. All proceeds will go towards granting wishes from this site for deserving Westman Families.  
 
The Carnival will be held from 11 - 3 on Saturday April 9 at the East End Community Centre in Brandon.  
 
Admission will be FREE and there will be free games for the kids! There will also be a BBQ, craft sale, penny parade, raffle for E-Brandon swag graciously donated by Adam, a Pie Throw, games for prizes and a Wii Bowling Tournament with the grand prize winner receiving a BRAND NEW Wii CONSOLE donated by the Merchants of Rivers Manitoba!  
 
This is a great family event and sure to be a lot of fun! For more information, to book a craft sale table ($25) or if you wish to donated prizes, products or even just come on out and help - we are happy to hear from you!!!

We also have tables available to E-Brandon members for craft and product sales - tables are $25 each and we will advertise your sale for you!

I have booked a table and am looking forward to being there too. I am going to offer $2 from every book I sell, and $5 from a set of two, to the E-Wish granters. I plan to have something to raffle of which all proceeds will go to the same. I may not be able to get there myself until around 2 (if all goes well I will be there first thing) but will arrange to have someone keep my table until that time. This is exciting and another great way to help make wishes come true.

I would love to book a table and I think I will take a hint from Doreen and I will do a raffle as well with all proceeds to the e-wish granters.

The E-Wish Granters are a board of volunteers made up of some very different individuals. As a group we will look at all of the wishes posted on E-Brandon and decide among ourselves which we would like to grant. It will be a democratic process and many factors will be considered. None of us n the board have any association with each other other than this board and did not know each other before hand.  
 
We have made it a policy to NOT provide money for the granting of wishes - any money we do raise will be used to pay for products and services directly. No one will be the recipient of any cash at any time.

Just wondering if any e-branodners would be interested in donating any baking for a bake table? Good idea? Bad idea? Thoughts?

A bake table is a wonderful idea ... but please, please, please, make sure my table is not beside it, lol. I so often am beside on with baking and it wears down my "won't power". If you go ahead with the bake table I will bring something to put on it.

I have one question. in the fairness of transparency how much has E-wish granter's raised so far? could you post a break down of money raised money spent ( shirts other ) and so on.

No problem. AS OF MARCH 3, 2011  
 
We raised $1265 in T-Shirt Sales, the cost of the shirts was $1176.00 so we have $89 in T-shirt profit to be split between Greg & Danielle for MS Treatments. There are still remiaining T-Shirts to be sold. We have not met with either Greg or Danielle yet to determine which of their treatment expenses they would like us to help pay. If either Danielle or Greg would like to sell half of the remaining shirts for their respective trust accounts, they can pick them up from Sharon Kucher.  
 
We have received $57 in donations that will be used towards our first fundraising social - date TBA  
 
Our bank balance as of March 13 is $145.45  
 
There has also been $100 in table rental fees collected for the carnival that will be deposited later today. And we will have an updated financial reposrt at the end of the month.

We have a very generous E-Braondon member who has offered to organize our bake table for thos fundraiser so if you wre willing to bake a bot and help use raise money to grant wishes, please contact Karen at karenkeller@hotmail.ca

A HUGE THANK YOU to another Rivers community group - the RIVERS KIDS CLUB who have also graciously agreed to help purchase the Wii Console that will be the grand prize in the bowling tournament at the carnival!!!!

Bake table Donation: $162.15  
 
Total Income: $1038.15  
 
 
Expenses:  
 
Hall Rental: $100.00  
Game Supplies & Prizes: $90.17  
BBQ Stuff: $40  
Face Paints: $20  
 
Total Expenses: $250.17  
 
 
 
PROIT FROM CARNIVAL: $772.98  
Profit for Danielle: $15.00

$44.50 is T-Shirt profit for Greg

$57 in Social donations to be used at a later date  
 
Total of $83.89 was contributed to Mitten’s treadmill as there were some contributions that were promised but never received.  
 
From the $689 profit from the carnival ($772.98 - $83.89 for Mittens) – we will be using $500 to grant wishes in the next couple of weeks and the rest will sit in our account to fund the next fundraiser!
