Assiniboine Community College strives to create exceptional learning experiences for our students. Reporting to the Director of External Relations and working collaboratively with the Alumni Association Board of Directors, this position plays a key role in fostering relationships between Assiniboine Community College and our Alumni.
You are energetic and thoughtful. Others know you to be highly organized with strong analytical and record keeping skills. As an effective communicator, you can connect with people in groups and on an individual level and would welcome the opportunity to work in a key role is the Alumni Relation’s fundraising efforts. You are confident and demonstrate the ability to develop marketing materials, communication plans, and public outreach strategies. Most of all, you believe in the value of post-secondary education and the power it has in transforming lives.
As a natural and driven organizer and multi-tasker, you complete tasks in aprofessional and timely manner. You are ambitious and consider yourself to be a responsible team-player helping support the achievement of a common goal. You consider yourself to be a planner with a considerable amount of experience in event management, among other duties. You ideally have a knowledge of non-profit organizations and possess an attitude that is conducive to a positive, team oriented environment. You know how to make a plan and stick to it but can adapt on the fly when the situation requires.
You will have relevant post-secondary education along with experience communicating professionally in various ways. Experience with a community or not for profit organization and with event management experience. You will help to develop fundraising strategies and assist in delivering positive fundraising results. Experience working with members of the business community is considered an asset. You thrive working in goal oriented environments and would like to see our students, and the college succeed as a result of your efforts.
