Maintenance Administrative Assistant - Term

Tundra Oil & Gas is Manitoba-based oil and gas exploration and Production Company and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Winnipeg-based James Richardson & Sons, Limited. Tundra’s head office is located in Winnipeg and has offices in Virden and Calgary. Tundra is recognized as the largest oil producer in Manitoba, has invested close to 3 billion dollars since 1980, creating jobs and economic activity while in the process of exploring for oil in Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

 

Tundra continues to grow and we are looking for a Maintenance Administrative Assistant for a 1-year term in our Virden office.

 

 

 

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, some specific duties and responsibilities of the Maintenance Administrative Assistant include but are not limited to:

 

  • Responsible for data entry in the Azzier asset management system.  

  • Maintain current equipment/asset records, and perform the set-up of equipment parts lists in Azzier.

  • Perform work order entry for both the maintenance and instrumentation coordinator, and track backlog.

  • Assist with creating work orders in Azzier for both regular repairs and preventative maintenance tasks.

  • Assist with formatting inspections and procedures entered in Web-works.

  • Assist with monitoring operating costs relating to maintenance.

  • Assist with the development of new procedures or modifications of existing procedures as maintained in Azzier.

  • Perform other maintenance related work assignments such as cost tracking, invoice coding, scheduling tasks, generating reports, etc.

  • Responsible to ensure accurate data entry in the asset management system.

  • Responsible for promoting the safety program.

  • Assisting Procurement with material transfers

  • Assist with MOC (management of change) process.

  • File, report, and track non-compliance issues for regulatory agencies in our operating areas.

  • Creating new employee packages.

  • Other related duties as required.

 

 

 

Candidates for this position will possess the following qualifications and competencies:

 

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience of relevant administrative/technical experience required.

  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office suite program, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook required.

  • Previous experience with data entry required.

  • Accurate typing speed of 50 WPM required.

  • General knowledge of oilfield activities and equipment is preferred.

  • Basic oil and gas experience is an asset.

  • Exceptional accuracy and strong attention to detail skills are required.

  • Must be disciplined with strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

  • Strong team player.

  • Safety conscious.
