Location: Brandon, MB

Terms: Full time, permanent

Close Date: February 25, 2020

Salary: Dependent upon education and experience

Our new Personal Lines Account Manager will be ambitious, passionate about the insurance industry and receptive to change. THE JOB

  • Manage an existing book of Personal Lines business
  • Conduct annual reviews with clients
  • Prepare renewals and rewrite quotes (when required) and communicate with insurance company underwriters
  • Process insurance changes and cancellations
  • Explain payment options to clients and prepare new financing contracts, as required
  • Follow up with clients on outstanding payments
  • Claim maintenance - Gather information from clients, report claims to insurance companies/adjusters and follow up with clients on claim progress 
  • New business - Provide quotes and prepare new policies, as required (i.e. walk ins, referrals)
  • Pursue referrals
  • Keep insurance knowledge current through training, seminars, etc.
  • Attend meetings, as required
  • Assist in other departments (i.e. Auto department), as required
  • Saturday Autopac shifts, as per scheduled rotation
  • Other duties, as assigned
  • Maintain a positive attitude, "CAN DO" approach and high level of professionalism when dealing with customers and co-workers

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum Level 1 general insurance license
  • Minimum one year of insurance industry experience
  • Personal Lines experience would be an asset
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Well organized with excellent time management skills
  • Creative problem solver
  • Strong work ethic
  • Goal oriented with a focus on positive results
  • Ability to work independently, multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to continuing education
  • Working knowledge of The Broker's Workstation (TBW) would be an asset
  • Strong understanding of Insurance Work Station (IWS) system and navigation
