What you'll do:
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot end-user computer hardware, software, systems, networks (LAN), printers, scanners, mobile devices, television displays, postage machines, and other IT peripherals for WCG staff.
- Configure, implement, and troubleshoot all components of WCG's IT infrastructure used for internet and data services delivery for internal and external users.
- Configure, implement, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux server operating systems used on servers used to support internet and data services: Active Directly, DHCP, DNS, TFTP, etc.
- Configure, implement, and troubleshoot Linux and Windows based web hosting software, virtual machines and related services.
- Ensure all required software upgrades are applied to the infrastructure components in a timely manner.
- Ensure appropriate version control/backups exist for the network device configurations.
- Maintain documentation including core network documents (diagrams, processes, as-builts etc.) and requisite information necessary to maintain/rebuild services.
What you'll bring to the team:
- Bachelor's degree or college diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a network services field including hands-on experience with IT infrastructure (Unix based servers, VMware, storage systems, firewalls, network services such as DNS, DHCP, TFTP, Web proxies, Windows Active Directory management, Office 365 administration, etc.) is required.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Must hold and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Must be bondable.
- Knowledge of:
- Unix based (Linux, Ubuntu, Cent OS etc.) operating system administration and general support issues.
- Networking knowledge (TCP/IP networking & core technologies, such as VPN, routing, HTTP, DNS, etc.)
- RF fundamentals as it applies to cable networks.
- MS-Windows and general desktop support issues.
- scripting languages (Power Shell, Bash, PHP, Perl, Python etc.).
