Experienced Financial Planner with roots in rural southern Manitoba and over 11 years of experience in the banking industry. Skilled with retirement planning, pension considerations, farm/business succession planning and tax minimization strategies.
After completing my Four-Year Bachelor of Business Administration program at Brandon University, I started with TD Canada Trust in Deloraine Branch as a Financial Services Representative in April 2009. I took over as the Branch Manager at the Deloraine Branch in November 2010. During my six years in Deloraine I managed an exceptional team of five employees and we prided ourselves in the service levels provided in our branch.
In March 2015 I made a shift in my career to focus on Investments and Financial Planning. As a Financial Planner my primary office is based in Brandon. I also support one rural branch in Dauphin, MB. I continue to support clients from Deloraine, MB and Pilot Mound, MB which were closed in 2018 and 2017 respectively. Currently, I support over 200 households of clients in the Western Manitoba and Eastern Saskatchewan area and am constantly learning more about my business and my clients in order to provide the best client experience possible.
I work with a wide variety of clientele including: pre-retired individuals, retired individuals, corporations, farmers, professionals and small business owners. My targeted segments are retiring farmers and pension commutes. I draw on my experience and what my family went through when selling the family farm back in 2009 and am able to speak to what the transition process is like when a farmer wants to retire.
In July 2016 I obtained my FP Canada Qualified Associate Financial Planner (QAFP) from the Financial Planning Standards Council and am currently working towards completing my Certified Financial Planning (CFP) designation.
