Based in Brandon, Manitoba, we synthesize and blend nitrogen, phosphate, and sulfur products with ammonia, which we market primarily in the prairie provinces of Canada and the northern United States. MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR, MECHANICAL
Koch Fertilizer Canada, ULC is looking for an energetic, highly motivated individual to join the Maintenance team to contribute to the organization's value creation capabilities. This role offers a fast-paced working environment and opportunities for career development within our growing organization! The Maintenance Mechanical Supervisor will be part of a maintenance team of four supervisors whom report directly to the Maintenance Manager. The Mechanical trades team consists of one Machinist and 11 Millwrights/Industrial Mechanics.
? Oversee the performance, training and safe conduct of the Millwright and Machinist team
? Be instrumental in developing and maintaining the highest levels of safety within the department
? Be responsible for maintaining a high standard of housekeeping in applicable work areas
? Establish and maintain maintenance records, input requisitions for supplies including tools, materials and equipment
? Assist in creation and revision of policies and procedures relative to the department
? Assist in preparing maintenance reports and preventative maintenance programs for all mechanical maintenance equipment
? Ensure that maintenance information is maintained and entered into the CMMS system including hours to perform the work; involved with planning high priority work
? Manage work order backlogs to maintain acceptable levels
? Develop and maintain schedules, both on-call and vacations
? Consult with Plant Leadership team and interact with other departments as required
The qualifications you have include:
? At least five (5) years of maintenance supervisory experience, preferably in a unionized, industrial setting
? High School Diploma or equivalent (ie. GED); Interprovincial Red Seal Millwright certification or a related Red
Seal certificate is considered an asset
? Proven understanding of all aspects of industrial maintenance with a good understanding of mechanical
equipment and reliability programs
? Demonstrated track record of operating maintenance systems efficiently and effectively
? Experience in maintaining & repairing of mechanical processing equipment is considered an asset
? Demonstrated initiative, ability to work independently with minimal supervision
? Proven organization and time management skills; detail-oriented; high level of integrity, honesty and professionalism
? Excellent verbal and written communication
? Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
? Valid class five (5) driver's license

? Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment
? Availability for flexible hours based on job requirements
? Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
? Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather
? Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and work at heights
? Occasional exposure to fumes/airborne particles
? Ability to pass pulmonary breathing test
? Ability to wear a gas mask-type respirator and PPE
? Tolerance to occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles and toxic/caustic chemicals with appropriate
? Unassisted physical mobility in and around plant and equipment
? Ability to sit, stand, kneel as necessary
? Ability to travel to and enter site to access equipment
? 10% travel, including air
