McKenzie Seeds is seeking a Assistant Plant Manager to join the Brandon Facility
To provide overall support to the Plant Manager and to plan, create and execute the master production schedule.
? Provide support for the Plant Manager to ensure that all production objectives are met.
? Assist in the management of the overall operations of the facility.
? Assist in the hiring, training and management of the production personnel.
? Maintain the Master production schedule to meet forecasted objectives.
? Monitor and maintain inventory levels to meet financial objectives.
? Work closely with all other managers of the firm to ensure that all information and materials needed for production are obtained in a timely manner
? Oversee day to day plant operations.
? Maintain the Master Production schedule.
? Assist the Plant Manager with hiring, training, and coaching.
? Responsible for Health and Safety.
? Monitor all packet lines and issue work orders.
? Enter and monitor daily time and absenteeism, submit bi-weekly payroll.
? Enter changes to the Bill of Materials as directed by Sales and Marketing.
? Assist with Logistics duties for outgoing shipments from multiple warehouses.
? Provide operations personnel with the tools necessary to perform their duties, including data analysis, work standards & monitoring.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE NECESSARY FOR THE JOB:
? Must have a good understanding of production and inventory control functions including MRP, MPS, Inventory Control, Purchasing and Production Execution and Control.
? Must have extensive knowledge in the use of computer systems and software including Microsoft Office, and Sage.
? Must have a good knowledge of all business processes and functions including Sales and Distribution, Materials management, Production Planning and Control, Accounting and Costing, Quality Control, and Warehouse Management.
? Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
? Must have excellent problem solving skills.
