Association for Community Living Virden is a non-profit agency providing support for adults with physical and/or intellectual disabilities. The majority of the people we support live in homes provided by our agency. We provide several different services that include Residential, Day Service, Recreational, workplace accompaniment, personal care assistance, etc. Work duties include medication administration, personal care, and household duties such as cleaning, cooking and yard work.
We have immediate openings for Full Time and Part Time Residential Support Workers.
Full Time Support staff work a rotating schedule of 4 day shifts (7 a.m. to 3 p.m.), 2 days off, then 4 evening shifts (3 p.m. to 11 p.m.) and 2 days off.
Part Time Support staff work a rotating schedule of 4 day shifts (7 a.m. to 3 p.m.), 2 days off, then 4 evening shifts (3 p.m. to 9 p.m.) and 2 days off.
There is the opportunity to pick up extra shifts and overtime shifts as well as overnight sleep shifts.
Applicants should be responsible, motivated problem solvers who have the desire to work in a field that is both rewarding and allows you to constantly learn. A valid driver?s licence is required. Criminal Record checks and Adult Abuse Registry checks will be completed upon hiring. Applicants must possess good oral and written English language skills and must reside in Canada.
All necessary training is provided with pay. Starting wage is $15.41 per hour or more depending on previous experience.
