Full-Time Heavy Duty Parts Personnel

TOTAL Works Truck & Equipment has an immediate opening for an experienced HD Truck & Trailer Parts Personnel, in our 7-bay, full-service repair facility. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the Heavy-Duty Truck & Trailer industry, with a comprehensive knowledge of the parts associated with these types of vehicles.
The selected individual will be employed in a full-time capacity and report directly to the Parts Department Manager. They will be offered a compensation package that compliments both their previous experience and current skill level.
The skills & duties required of the successful candidate will include:
? Communicate with the Heavy-Duty repair technicians and fulfill their requests for parts
? Rotate and replenish stock levels, to maintain a professional appearance at all times
? Receive parts and supplies
? Maintain a clean and organized parts room
? Ensure that parts catalogs and price lists are current and up to date.
? Inspect parts returns and cores for damage and correctness.
? Source hard-to-find parts
? Compile parts cost estimates, and assist with the Service Department's needs.
? Perform physical inventory counts and periodic spot checks
? Answer Phones and emails in a polite and professional manner, providing exceptional Customer Service and product knowledge
? Greet customers and discuss the type, quantity, and quality of the merchandise and/or services they require
? Participate in other duties as assigned
Key Attributes:
? A strong knowledge of Trucking & Truck Parts is required to excel in this position, with previous parts experience required
? Excellent communication, customer service, & interpersonal skills
? Punctual, with a strong work ethic and an outstanding attendance record
? Able to perform repetitive heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
? Above average computer skill
? Able to work under pressure, and complete tasks in the assigned time period
? A good listener who is able to ask questions, when necessary, to solve problems and come up with sound solutions
? Must have the ability to work both independently, and as a contributing member of the team
? Must be able to manage time and resources to the company's advantage
? A class 5 (Minimum) Driver's License
? Must be able to Read, Speak, and Comprehend English
Education:
? Post-Secondary School (Preferred)
? Past experience will be taken into consideration
Salary:
? Compensation offered will be calculated based on experience
? Full benefits after completion of probationary period
