What you'll do:
Reporting to the HABS Operator Manager, the Estimator will provide professional advice and support to contractor and customers within the local building industry. Review blue prints and other documents to prepare material takeoff list and cost estimates per project.
Responsibilities will include:
- Consult with contractors and customers to develop a thorough understanding of projects, to provide accurate, timely and competitive estimations for materials. Create material take off lists based on blueprints and specifications. Ensure that all offered estimates are accurate and meets projects financial objectives. Discuss and resolve all contractor's questions prior to final estimate submission.
- Maintain and strengthen positive relationships with local contractors and customers.
- Actively solicit new business opportunities and develop a pipeline of current and future projects.
- Review and analyze bids for conformation to project specifications, price, and material quality.
- Partner with suppliers to ensure all pricing is accurate and competitive.
- Maintain reporting for contractors, calculations, project specifications and estimates. Report on customer contracts and quote tracker.
- Assist with inventory verification and maintain compliance with Boundary Co-op's policy and procedures when ordering product for projects and store stock.
- Provide customer service in store, locating product, processing purchases and assisting with the opening/closing of store as required.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Co-op and:
- You have 3-5 years of experience in construction estimating role.
- Previous sales and or retail experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
- Strong knowledge of building codes, construction products and practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office,
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with strong communication and attention to detail skills
