Salary: $62,187 to $92,384 annually ($32.99 to $49.01 hourly)

(Educational Supplement: Masters $1.52/hour; PhD $3.03/hour)

ACC is seeking an Instructor for the Swine Production Foundations program. 


Be Passionate and Take Initiative with these Responsibilities:

  • Instruct students online and in a classroom setting and provide academic assistance during class hours.
  • Modify course objectives, course outlines, curricula and evaluation procedures and instruments.
  • Prepare and maintain all course-related records including evaluation, attendance records, and student information as required.
  • Identify, prepare, and organize course materials and learning resources for course delivery.
  • Share passion and knowledge of Swine Technician skills and production with students.

Be able to deliver results by having:

  • Extensive experience in swine or animal production with a preference given to those who have graduated from a recognized swine technician or animal health program and or have significant experience.
  • Someone who loves to communicate, wants to share their knowledge, and is committed to creating exceptional learning experiences for our students.
  • Able to deliver theoretical content to support a solid foundation for the learn-by-doing portion of the program.
  • Teaching experience in an adult environment and strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office is, experience in Instruction, assessment, curriculum development, and swine production management are highly desirable and would be an asset.
  • Highly developed communication skills, strong organizational skills, and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Solid understanding or an ability to learn about Indigenization and decolonization of curriculum, classroom instruction, assessment and evaluation, student advising and group facilitation.
  • Well-developed technical skills, particularly in Microsoft Office
