Virden Employment Skills Centre is seeking an Employment Advisor to start as soon as possible.
Duties include, but are not limited to?
? Register new clients (intake, assessment of skills, follow-ups)
? Assist clients with job search and applications
? Enter data into database; will provide training
? Work with employers to develop, post and follow-up with job orders
? Research job and training opportunities within the area
? Build job boards and keep up to date (daily & weekly)
? Post job boards on social media platforms
? Maintain daily office activity stats
? Answer phone and reception duties
? Pickup mail; record incoming and outgoing mail
? Assist clients building resumes and cover letters
? Attend monthly board meetings & write up meeting minutes
? Assist with office workshops
? Maintain activity and progress reports
? Assist Office Manager as needed
Previous experience an asset; will train the right candidate.
Must enjoy working with people and have good communication skills (written and verbal).
Computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Starting wage commensurate with skills & experience
