What you'll do:
Reporting to the Food Store Manager, the Produce Food Clerk is responsible for:
- Demonstrate day-to-day behaviours and actions that align with and strengthen the Co-operative's vision, mission, values, brand and focus on safety;
- Maintain and display all type of produce according to department standards;
- Greet customers and responding to customer questions;
- Receiving, stock, and face merchandise;
- Ensure department best practices are consistently executed;
- Ensure to keep a clean and well-maintained department;
- Continually monitor code dates to ensure the freshest inventory on the shelf;
- Activating/deactivating promotion and sale pricing;
- Prioritize multiple concurrent tasks;
- Perform other duties as assigned;
- Follow proper maintenance and housekeeping duties.
Who you are:
You are looking for a career in retail and have:
- A grade 12 or combination of relevant experience;
- Ability to lift and load products: extensive physical labour required;
- You are able to delegate tasks when given multiple tasks at once;
- You're action oriented, customer focused and work well with other Team Members;
- You're honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do;
- You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.
